I Like Me Anyway

Brooke Romney came to us with an unfinished draft for her book. She was getting it edited and needed to discuss how to bring this personal story to the world. Should she submit it to the various religious publishers hoping one of them might champion her vision? Or should she self publish and try her hand at building a business her self? Through various discussions about the path she wanted to build in front of her, we helped lead Brooke through the self publishing world. We helped her craft the look and feel for her first book and a plan for how to launch it into the world.

The book was a major success right from the launch. Hosting a launch party, Brooke was able to share her book with various social influencers, close friends, and family. We crafted special gift bags for each attendee, to highlight the themes and unique ideas found in the book including prints from one of Brooke’s favorite artists, Lisa Jensen.

The book kicked off Brooke’s successful publishing career and as a best seller went on to be featured in stores like Costco and Deseret Book.

“I Like Me Anyway was more well received than I ever hoped it would be. I beat my sales goals within the first two months and the reviews helped me realize how needed the book was for so many.

Five years later, book clubs are still choosing it, and women and men are still sending me messages about the way this book has changed their lives for the better.

The design has had a significant impact on how the reader received and internalized the book and I'm so grateful for all the thought and expertise that was put into it!”
